CLARE COUNTY - On Dec. 31 at 5:45 p.m. the Clare County Central Dispatch received a call from a person living in Lake who reported his vehicle had been stolen.

A deputy with the Clare County Sheriff’s Office was sent to an address on North Shore Drive in Garfield Township, where the deputy met with the victim. During the investigation, it was determined the victim’s 2024 Chevrolet Trax, which had been parked in the garage, had been taken without the owner’s permission, deputies said.

A short time after the vehicle was reported stolen, deputies located the stolen vehicle on Lake Station Avenue near Rolling Road, they said.
