Riley’s Candles is on a mission to save the lives of dogs here in Northern Michigan, and it all got started with now-13-year-old rescue Riley. When he required surgery at age 3 due to being paralyzed, the $10,000 surgery and recovery price tag was beyond Riley’s parents’ reach. Luckily they were able to spread the costs around and Riley pulled through.
Flash forward a decade, and over the years Riley and his parents have met so many pets whose parents were forced to make the most difficult decision due to financial constraints and affordability. That is why in 2017 Riley’s Candles was founded as a way to raise funds to help save pets in need of life-saving surgery, just like Riley.
All proceeds raised and all money donated is used to help pets right here in Northern Michigan. And as Riley believes, “Candles can change the world, by saving one dog’s life at a time!”
