Traverse City Botanic Garden to host immersive design course

TRAVERSE CITY — The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park is offering a two-day immersive Garden Design Course led by Executive Director Matthew Ross.

The course will take place on 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 12 & 19 and will provide participants with the tools to design their dream gardens.

Matthew Ross brings a deep passion for horticulture and years of expertise to this program. Before joining The Botanic Garden, he served as the Continuing Education Director at Longwood Gardens, where he oversaw more than 200 horticulture, landscape design, and floristry programs.

With a BS and MS from Michigan State University in Horticulture Science, specializing in Landscape Design Construction Management and Urban Forestry, Matthew is a nationally recognized leader in his field.

The course will be held at the Botanic Garden Visitor’s Center, and all supplies and equipment will be provided. Seats are limited to 20 participants, so reserve your spot today.

Members can join for $99, and non-members for $129. Memberships are available.

The Botanic Garden is located at 1490 Red Drive in Traverse City.
