TRAVERSE CITY - There’s a fun, family-friendly holiday show in northern Michigan going on this weekend--all inspired by a popular artist.
Madonnativity is being put on by ‘Mash-Up Rock & Roll Musical’ a travelling non-profit that brings unique and original remixes to pop culture topics.
The show features a comedic spin on the importance of community and connection through difficult times. This weekend’s shows will all be in traverse city at the grand traverse circuit building
“All our shows, again, our sort of unique because we’re taking this different source material and mixing it together. This one was actually an audience, we tried it out first and one of our cabarets and did a couple numbers and then it turned into their full scale show this holiday,” says Lesley Tye, Co-founder of Mash-Up Rock & Roll Musical.
Their closing show on Sunday is ‘pay what you can’ with half the proceeds going to Up North Pride.
