GAYLORD — The Saginaw VA Healthcare System is hosting a veteran town hall and PACT Act resource fair Dec. 11 in Gaylord.
The PACT Act was signed in 2022 to extend VA benefits to all veterans and their families that were exposed to toxic chemicals from agent orange or burn pits, nuclear weapons and more. The town hall will not only have informational presentations but also offer screenings for veterans to determine if they have exposed and provide a pathway to get signed up with the VA.
“I want to be able to be able to sit down with folks, in their communities, have these conversations in their communities. and really just truly understand the challenges that they may be facing. And what I can do as the executive, for this health care system to bring better care to them,” said Anthony Colón, CEO of Saginaw VA Health Care System.
The veteran town hall be held at the Gaylord VFW Post 1518 from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
