TART Trails says Giving Tuesday kicks off their biggest fundraising season

TRAVERSE CITY — TART Trails hosted a fundraising celebration at Silver Spruce Brewing in Traverse City for Giving Tuesday.

The brewery donated a dollar for every beverage purchased, and Timber Ridge Resort matched all donations given on Tuesday up to $10,000. The donations will go toward trail projects in 2025.

TART Trails said about 30% of their annual donations come in between Giving Tuesday and the end of December.

“TART Trails is a pretty important community asset. They’re there for recreation, but also a really important element of transportation and allowing people a greener and more sustainable way to get across town and to get from one place to another. We know when we see a community that has trails, the businesses in that community see a direct impact, the health of the community is improved,” said Janna Goethel, TART Trails annual gifts/special events coordinator.

The celebration ends at 7 p.m. Tuesday night, but if you can’t make it you can still donate online.
