TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center is partnering with The Workshop Brewing Company for a “Pint Night” event on Oct. 18 to raise funds for TBCAC’s mission to support investigations of child abuse.
Per an Oct. 9 news release, the give-back event is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 18 at 221 Garland St. in Traverse City.
During “Pint Night”, The Workshop will donate $1 for every pint sold to TBCAC’s mission. Guests will also have the chance to listen to live music performed by The Seth Brown Duo Band while supporting an important cause.
“A key part of The Workshop’s mission is to support our local community, and institutions like TBCAC are fundamental to the community,” said Pete Kirkwood, Founder of The Workshop. “We are thrilled to host this fun event.”
The Workshop Brewing Company creates traditional beers, craft spirits and a variety of dishes using wholesome ingredients in a setting that strives to be welcoming and fun.
Founded in 2010, TBCAC serves a six-county region in Northwest Michigan, including the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
As one of the largest child advocacy centers in Michigan, TBCAC has conducted over 3,600 child forensic interviews to support healing and justice. Any child or eligible adult referred to our organization receives (as requested) free intervention and counseling services.
Additionally, its evidence-informed prevention curriculum is free and available for any interested organization, school district, parent or individual.
“We are so grateful to our community partners who work with us to educate,” a TBCAC representative said. “Empower and support the families we are honored to serve. We are better together, and stronger for every organization that offers a helping hand, or in this case, a pint.”
