NMC’s ‘Mike McIntosh Memorial Car and Truck Show’ is this Saturday

TRAVERSE CITY - The Northwestern Michigan College, ‘Mike Mcintosh Memorial Car and Truck Show’ is on Saturday. What started as a way to show off what the automotive program does, is now a large community event with people bringing their own vehicles to show off.

The event involves a silent auction, food, music and an opportunity to see what the students in the automotive program work on. The event helps sponsor equipment and trips that will be used to further the student’s education. It is also an opportunity to teach others about the automotive industry and hopefully inspire more to get involved

“I enjoy the fact that we’re being able to do this with the help the students. They have a certain amount of pride with it doing this…It’s a team building experience for one…Tomorrow you’ll see a lot of students here. They get involved in the show themselves,” says Wayne Moody, Automotive Program Coordinator.

Every car and truck receives an entry prize, but there are others given out—one prize in particular is the students choice.
