On Thursday, the Benzie County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a car vs. semi crash around 7:30 a.m.
They said a Mesick man in a car was headed north on Bendon Road in Inland Township when he failed to yield for traffic on US-31 and got T-boned by a westbound semi.
The Mesick man was taken to Munson in Traverse City, where deputies said he is critical condition. The semi driver was treated on scene and released.
The investigation is still open.
