Sheriff Mike Williams said a Grand Rapids area man was arrested in Greenville on Wednesday, July 31, for child sex crimes.
The arrest was a result of ongoing operations involving several agencies to help combat the human trafficking epidemic. The operation was a joint effort between the Greenville Department of Public Safety, the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office. This was their 30th arrest in three years.
Luke Elijah Hoekstra, 22, was charged with Accosting a Minor for Immoral Purposes, and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.
