Winter Storm Warning:
For Luce County
From 1AM Wednesday to 7PM Wednesday.
- 3-6″ of snow with isolated higher amounts will be possible. Ice accumulations of .1″ could be possible as well. Winds will be gusting upwards of 40mph.
For Emmet-Cheboygan-Presque Isle-Montmorency-Alpena counties.
From 1AM Wednesday to 10PM Wednesday.
- 4-8″ of snow will be possible with a tenth of an inch of ice also possible. Winds could also be gusting around 40mph.
For Western Chippewa-Central Chippewa-Southeast Chippewa-Western Mackinac-Eastern Mackinac-Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc Island.
From 1AM Wednesday to 10PM Wednesday.
- 5-10″ of snow will be possible with a light glaze of ice accumulation. Wind gusts could be around 40mph.

For Antrim-Otsego-Crawford-Oscoda-Alcona-Charlevoix counties.
From 1AM Wednesday to 7PM Wednesday.
- 1-4″ of snow will be possible with .1″ - .25″ of ice accumulations also possible. Winds will be gusting upwards of 40mph.
For Kalkaska-Roscommon-Ogemaw-Iosco counties.
From 1AM Wednesday to 7PM Wednesday
- An inch of snow will be possible but .1″ - .25″ of ice will also be possible. Winds will be gusting upwards of 40mph.
For Missaukee-Osceola-Clare-Gladwin-Arenac counties.
From 1AM Wednesday to Wednesday Afternoon.
- Ice accumulations of .1″ will be possible.
Today: Calm Before The Messy Storm
We will see morning fog turn into a mix of sun and clouds to partly cloudy conditions.
It will be another warm one for us with mid 30s to upper 40s.
We might be able to squeak out a few more degrees depending on how long some sun sticks around.
Clouds really start to set in from the incoming system later this afternoon and evening.
Tonight: Rain, Freezing Rain, Wet Heavy Snow
Location will be key tonight with an incoming system.
Rain will start moving into areas of Northern Michigan around midnight.
It will quickly change to wet heavy snow for the U.P. and stay that way through Wednesday morning.
The Western half of the Lower Peninsula, from Traverse City and South will see rain and a possible rumble of thunder.
Grayling to Lake Huron and North to the Straits will see freezing rain and snow.
This could lead to .1″ to .25″ of ice accumulation.
Overnight lows will range from the low 20s to upper 30s.
Winds will be out of the East at 10-20mph with gusts around 30mph.
Wednesday - Friday: 2 Messy Systems
We will see a very rough morning commute for the U.P. and Northeast Northern Lower Peninsula.
Many South of M-32 will see mainly rain showers through the mid to late morning.
The afternoon improves with some sunshine in the Lower Peninsula.
The U.P. will see some lingering light snow and mix.
Highs will range from the mid 20s to mid 50s from North to South.
Winds will be rather gusty at times out of the East but turning West/Southwest for the afternoon and evening.
Thursday is looking like a mix of sun and clouds to mostly cloudy.
Highs will range from the low 30s to mid 50s.
Friday brings in another system that could create more messy conditions.
The Lower Peninsula will see rain and mixed showers while the U.P. could see ice and snow once again.
Highs will be in the low 30s to mid 40s.
The Weekend: Colder & Lake Effect
We will see lake effect snow showers Saturday otherwise skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.
Highs will range from the mid 20s to mid 30s.
Sunday is looking partly cloudy with isolated lake effect snow showers.
Highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s.
