Evening/Tonight: Lingering Lake Effect, Clipper Late South

More of a WSW wind will still deliver some lingering lake effect snow chances.

Better placement near the Lake Michigan shoreline & Straits.

Lows tonight from the single digits to mid teens.

WSW winds at 5-10 mph. Winds chills near or just below zero.

Mid-Week: A Few Clippers, Lake Effect, Staying Cold

Wednesday looks to features two clipper systems. AM and later PM.

AM clipper will favor our southern zones. Better south of M-55.

Still some lake effect bands near Lake MI into Emmet county will hold.

Highs Wednesday will be the “warmest” for the rest of the week.

From the upper teens to upper 20s. Winds SW at 5-15 mph G20.

Another widespread clipper delivers more light snow Wednesday evening into Thursday.

Lake enhancement will likely give more moderate to heavy snow for the snowbelts.

Areas like Oceana county & the snowbelts downwind of Lake MI will likely be measuring another 6″+ by Thursday.

Thursday brings more cold and isolated lake effect snow showers.

Highs Thursday will range in the teens to near 20 at best.

Friday & Weekend: Arctic Cold! Spotty Lake Effect

Friday brings more isolated lake effect snow showers.

Temperatures will become dangerously cold Friday into the weekend.

Highs Friday from the negative single digits to single digits.

More single digits and teens for the weekend.

Wind chills late week into the weekend will likely be trending below zero. Even in the negative double digits for many. Possibly -20 to -30.

Dress in layers and try to limit your time outdoors if possible. Keep pets warm!

Saturday will be partly cloudy with some spotty lake effect. Better near the lakeshore.

A larger system Sunday could give us some snow downstate. Something to watch for now.

Early Next Week: Still Cold... More Snow Chances

Monday features more isolated lake effect snow chances.

Highs into the new week stay cold, not as cold as the past weekend.

More teens near 20 Monday. Overnight lows still in the single digits near 0.

Another possible clipper system Tuesday.

Highs Tuesday from the teens to low 20s.
