It’s official! The holiday season is here, and we are so excited to get started with some holiday DIYs!
First up – we’re going to show you how to DIY your own ceramic Christmas tree.
For this project, you’ll need:
- Ready to paint ceramic Christmas tree (we found ours )
- Acrylic paints you want your Christmas tree to be colored as (If you have access to a kiln and glaze, you can do that too!)
- Paintbrushes
- Spray paint sealant
- Sponge
Follow these steps:
Step one: Wet your sponge and clean off any dust on your tree and base. Make sure you’re rinsing out your sponge as often as possible to avoid pushing any dust around.
Step two: Start by painting your base once your ceramic has dried.
Step three: Once you’re all done with the base, paint your tree! It can get difficult with the nooks and crannies, so make sure you cover the entire tree.
Step four: It shouldn’t take too long before your first coat is dried. Ours took about 10-15 minutes. You can go ahead and paint a second coat on your base and tree.
Step five: When your paint has dried, take the base and tree to a well-ventilated area and spray them with a sealant. This will give your tree and base a glossy look!
And you’re done! Your tree should also come with lights and a star for the top of the tree. So fun and festive for a table top or shelf!
