After another beautiful and busy summer and the recent release of their 2018 rose, it’s an exciting time of year at on Old Mission Peninsula.
No matter the season, there are some things that stay constant at this boutique winery.
“You can see both the East and West Bay from our tasting room, we have a gorgeous patio with outdoor seating,” said general manager Ann Pettyjohn. “You can enjoy a glass of wine, a cheese or charcuterie plate, and in the fall we’ve got a beautiful fireplace outside as well.”
A roaring fire in the fireplace, the beautiful views, and a glass of one of their award winning wines is a large part of what draws crowds of customers up Old Mission to their cozy tasting room.
While the fall and its beautiful changing colors appeal to visitors, Hawthorne Vineyards says it’s the wine from the region that is putting Old Mission on the map and making it a destination all year long.
And it’s the quality of the wine that has Hawthorne competing on a national level and making it the perfect stop for wine lovers.
Whitney Amann and Jeremy Erickson take you there in this week’s BrewVine.
