For those still looking to get out for trapping season, time on getting your license is limited.
Thursday is the last day for fur takers to get their base license.
Without that, you won’t be able to purchase a fur harvester license in March or April.
These fur harvester licenses are good until April 30 of this year.
If you still don’t have your license, there is still some easy ways to get it.
“License vendors are still open. So any license vendor you go to, Meijer, Walmart, any of your local stores that sell licenses will still have them. You can also go online and purchase your license online,” said Vernon Richardson, a wildlife biologist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
After Thursday, this trapping season will include small game such as beaver, otter and rabbit.
