The architect behind the mushroom houses of Charlevoix is Earl Young. He’s well known for wavy eaves, cedar shake roofs and use of stone and natural elements in his designs.
“The fireplace is actually from floor to ceiling sunburst style, again all created by Earl Young himself. I think he wanted to have a very expansive fireplace, something that was kind of a show piece,” says Connie Lenau, Harbor Sotheby’s International Realty.
