Fried Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs, lightly pounded
  • Oil for frying
  • 4 hamburger buns

Dry Coating (Mix together and set aside):

  • 1 ½ C flour
  • 1/3 C Cornstarch
  • 1 TB Granulated Garlic
  • 1 TB Onion Powder
  • 1 Tb paprika
  • 2 tsp. Cayenne
  • 2 TB Kosher Salt

Buttermilk Batter:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 C Buttermilk
  • 2 TB Bourbon
  • 3 TB Hot sauce

Directions:

Heat oil in deep skillet, to 350 degrees.

Dredge each chicken thigh in the flour, shake off excess and set aside.  Dip each chicken thigh into the butter milk mix then back into the flour.  Chill chicken for at least 30 minutes.  Working in batches, fry the chicken until golden brown.  Place each in warm bun and top with coleslaw.
