The Department of Natural Resources is looking for public input into potential changes for brook trout fishing in the Upper Peninsula.
The brook trout is native to the Upper Peninsula, a tool that fisheries managers have used to protect and rehabilitate brook trout is possession limits.
Two changes to book trout possessions have been proposed: the first would be to maintain the daily possession of 5 fish, but no more than 3 of the trout would be 15 inches or greater.
The second would be change the daily limit to 5 fish plus an additional 5 brook trout with only 3 allowed to be 15 inches or greater.
