BATTLE CREEK - The Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart Irish fell to St. Joseph Our Lady of the Lake 3-2 in a division 4 state semifinal on Thursday. The Irish won the first and fourth sets in the match that was back and forth the entire way. This was Sacred Heart’s 3rd appearance in the state semifinal in the last 4 years, and head coach Krista Davis was appreciative of her seniors and this team.
“Win, lose, draw. I told them this is a successful season and they’ve done everything I could have asked them to do and more. I enjoy walking in the gym every single day. I love working with these girls and I love working with the team and we’ve had a fun year as a coach I couldn’t ask for a better group,” said Davis.
