Beal City looks to make another trip to state championship game

BEAL CITY - The Beal City Aggies are in the state semifinal for the 3rd time in the past four years and are looking for their 8th trip to the state championship on Saturday when they’ll take on Fowler. The Aggies beat Iron Mountain last week to claim a regional title. Coming into this year the Beal City team looked different after graduating 14 seniors, but the expectations have stayed the same and the Aggies are looking to book a trip back to Ford Field on Saturday.

“It’s kind of expected. That’s what we try to do every year. I mean, that’s our goal is to get to the playoffs and make a long run. It’s been a few years since we’ve been in the finals, but that’s pretty much our goal every year. I know that’s my goal and I know the kids the same thing, that’s our goal every time we start a season,” said head coach Brad Gross.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 1 at will be played at Ithaca.
