BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs have a lot on the line Saturday as they’ll take on Davenport in the first edition of the Calder City Classic. The Bulldogs could two trophies on Saturday if victorious, they could capture the GLIAC championship and the Calder City Classic Trophy. Ferris State currently comes in ranked number one in super region three, meaning that a win would more than likely give them a first round bye and home field Advantage in the playoffs.
“I never know for sure whether that that is factual, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. You know we’re in the number one seed right now and you know we’ve got a team that has a really good record coming in here. So if we do knock them off, I would hope that we’d be the number one seed,” said head coach Tony Annese.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 on Saturday.
