ROSCOMMON COUNTY – Michigan State Police are honoring the retirement of K9 Loki, a longtime member of the Houghton Lake Post who has served alongside Trooper Whited since 2017.
Loki and Whited graduated from the 51st MSP Canine School and spent eight years working together on nearly 1,000 calls for service. The K9 team assisted in numerous rescues of missing individuals and helped apprehend multiple suspects during their service.
“The bond between a handler and their K9 partner is unlike any other, built on trust, loyalty and unwavering dedication,” MSP said in its announcement. “Loki, you have been an exemplary member of the Michigan State Police. We thank you for your service and wish you a well-deserved, restful retirement.”
