On Sunday, around 3:15 p.m., public safety officers responded to a home in Richfield Township, Roscommon County.
Officers found a 65-year-old woman lying on the floor, badly injured and deceased. The home, which officers said belonged to the woman, was secured, and the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab was called in to investigate.
That investigation led to the arrest of 62-year-old Robert Dale Caudle. On Tuesday, Caudle was charged with murder, felony tampering with evidence, and domestic violence - third offense. He is in the Roscommon County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
Richfield Township officers and Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office detectives continue to investigate.
